Hard to believe that another year has flown by. Remember when we were in grade school and a year was such a long time? I used to think that there was no way I could wait for an entire year to have Christmas come around again. Now I look back and think, “Where did the time go?”
This past year so much has happened. My youngest son got his driver’s license and played his first varsity football game. My older son competed in vocal music competitions and won, and discovered his love for Rugby. My daughter is moving on, enjoying good friends at college and getting great grades along the way. I enjoyed a good year in real estate sales despite the economy. I changed companies this year and learned that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
This coming year I have new goals. I want to spend more time with family and make exercise a priority. I want to stretch my limits with learning by getting some new certifications and licenses. But this year I want to slow down a bit and truly enjoy the people around me. Every year we learn from our mistakes and promise to make changes to become a better person. My biggest resolution this year is to show more appreciation. Appreciation for my clients and the people who send me referrals; appreciation for the lenders, title and escrow agents, inspectors and contractors who work alongside me; appreciation for the company and people I work for; appreciation for my family and friends who support me along the way.
So I’ll end this by saying, “Thank-you”. Thank-you for the support and friendship you’ve given me in 2010 and prior. I appreciate you.
